I've always heard that this little building was once a one-room school house. The current property owners fixed it back up and keep it decorated seasonally. There's a flag pole to one side and an old school bell on the other - unfortunately they were blocked out of my view.
What a charming little building. I also find it curious: the sign on the left includes the letters USA (1940?) WPA. That is during the period (1935-1943) when Roosevelt created the Works Progress Administration to put people to work during the Great Depression. This little gem could be part of their handiwork. How about that!
