Better on black. Golden - if you know the current price of a bottle of Arpege - Oldie because this was one of the first Christmas presents Bill gave me.( Wasn't as costly then) I've loved Arpege since I was in highschool - only perfume I've used. There's a tiny tiny bit left in the bottle - for sentimental value.
This is so amazing Melanie, stunning capture, reflection and sentiment. My first Eau de perfume was Chamade by Guerlain and I used it for many years and never used anything else. Then they started to sell a vintage version for 400US dollars! I should have kept some too ;-)
Beautiful bottle and story. My perfume tastes were much less expensive! Avon "Pink" I think it was called- after the bubble bath. And there was a lemon one too I liked. They didn't come in bottles as lovely as this though. Beautifully captured and I especially like the sentiment of keeping a little in the bottle still.
@radiogirl I bought the 24x24 but really wish I had gotten the 12x12 - think it would be just as useful and more versatile. Notice the prices have gone up on the plexiglass stuff - thanks Covid.
What a stunning reflection...especially viewed on black...and I love your sentimental story. Thanks for sharing. Our sense of smell is powerful, isn't it? A scent can really evoke amazing memories.
On a family trip to New York City where we stayed at the Plaza Hotel when my children were very young, I tried a sample of a fragrance at Bloomingdale's and purchased it (Angel by Theirry Mugler). After not wearing the scent for about 10 years, I decided to purchase a new bottle and put it on. My son came home from school that day, a teenager by then, and got a thoughtful look on his face. He then remarked, Mom, you smell like the Plaza Hotel! He had no idea I'd purchased and worn that fragrance all those years ago on that trip, but the scent of it brought back what he somehow did know...that that's what I smelled like while at the Plaza Hotel! :)

What program do you use to put a black background on your photo, or do you use a black material?
