This little guy caused quite a stir at the City Council meeting last month. A new home owner was objecting to goats being allowed within the city limits. This goat - and his brother - have lived in the backyard of the same house for 15 years. The yard backs up to the railroad tracks and river. The only time I ever see them is driving across the river bridge if I look down. The goats' owners won the battle, but it got a little noisy for a while :)
Good for the goats. Same as over here. City dwellers live and make their money in the noisy cities with all the traffic noise, emergency sirens and general hubbub of the 24 hour city.
Move out to the country and discover that their dream quiet village idyll new residence is within hearing distance of cows mooing, sheep bleating, the ancient church bells ringing and roosters waking everyone up at dawn. As it has been for centuries.
Then they complain about the noise and smells !!
I'm glad the owner won too- they really don't make that much noise. At least not as much noise as the person who lives up the road and has time-challenged rooster. He crows ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT!
