Hotel in the Bush by miraries

Hotel in the Bush

I found the most unusual tourist accomodation in the Mallee Bush. These are actually tin wheat silos where farmers store their grain. Someone had the great idea of using them as hotel rooms. It's all insulated inside with warm wood which makes it cozy but outside it just looks like silos apart form the shaded rectangular windows repeated all around the circular forms and a balcony and supports all made of steel. The steel supports are repeated all under the silos & the balcony for reinforcements. For $30/night off season I wouldn't mind having an experience in a silo.
Cool Shot! What a novel idea for tourist accommodation. Wouldnt mind tryin that out for a night or two either :)

Wow, how cool are these, I'd love to stay in them :) Great shot. Thanks for the comment on my wallaby and joey shots. They were taken in my backyard. I'm out in the hinterland behind the Gold Coast.

What a novel concept! I would love to go there and what a great rate per night. All I have to come up with is the airfare from South Carolina!!
