Album 1 - Crossandra by miraries

Album 1 - Crossandra

Also called the Firecracker Flower (Crossandra infundibuliformis). It is a tropical shrub native to southern India and Sri Lanka. This peach to salmon-orange flowering plant is also quite common here in Darwin.

In Greek Crossandra means fringed anthers and infundibuliformis means funnel form, relating to their flowers.
