House in the park

Spotted this house while exploring a park. I wonder what the history is on it. Sad to see it empty and not being used.
I wonder if it was originally a gardener's cottage ?

So much wondering and pondering in trying to decide on its originality ! - Like Merrelyn - was it the park/ gardener's cottage . or could it have been a house cum pavilion with the cricket scoreboard at the end of the building !I love how nature is taking over with the ivy growing over it !

Nice find and capture! Oh, if only these old buildings could talk, what tales they might tell, what history they may have seen.

It looks like it may have been some sort of storage shed or something- especially if the park used to be a part of an estate. Maybe the intent was to restore it at some point but funding ran out and it has remained boarded up. It does make for an interesting picture with a story to tell. Good shot!
