Squirrel by mittens

Squirrel

He's blending in pretty well.
There has been a squirrel trying to get into our attic through a vent. My husband covered the opening with wire but the squirrel keeps trying. I wonder if it it this one. Bad little squirrel. Stay away from my attic.
nice

He certainly blends in, I hope you manage to keep him out of the attic :)

Well in disguise - you did well to spot and capture this one , I also love the pop of red - they must be foliage or flower buds !

They do make quite cute subjects for photographs; but, I guess, thye can really be trouble, too. I like your capture of this one in the thicket of branches, accented with the red berries (or buds?).

@bjywamer Thank you Barb. They are buds.

If you able to, pepper (as in red pepper) spray spritzed on the wire or around the window is supposed to be a strong natural repellent/deterrent. I was trying to find the formula I copied off the internet, but I don't know where I put it! Anyway, it did work on the potted plants so it might work on the attic. Pesky little buggers, aren't they?! Good shot!

Great capture of the squirrel and the nice bush and berries around.

@olivetreeann Hi Ann. If you ever dig up the formula would you pass it to me. I think it was the squirrels who bit into so many of our tomatoes. thank you.

Yes he blends in perfectly. I bet you he was looking for a place to keep warm. I posted a squirrel trying to feed of our woodpecker's feeder. the suet is inside a metal cage.

@olivetreeann Thanks for the tip Ann. I'll pass it along to my husband.

Cute picture. Looks he's having berries for lunch. Can't blame him for trying. Attics are warmer than trees. We had the same annoying problems with them in our attic.
