air plants

We don't usually see so many of these in bloom when we go to Florida in winter but they're flowering a little early this year......Florida's winter has been a bit warmer than usual along with much of the rest of the country.
wow they are amazing , pretty colours too. love the texture of the bark on the tree.

thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting. @hillcrest - air plants grow totally without soil.....they attach themselves to other plants for support only - they're not parasitic - all their nutrients come from the air & rain around them. They grow in warm climates and were everywhere in south Florida....seemed to especially like Bald Cypress trees.

This is really neat seeing these growing somewhere instead of at a flower shop. I love that bottle brush tree from yesterday too. Very unusual. Thanks you for sharing it with us.
