2015-05-17 ox-eye daisy

Ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare), is native in Europe on alkaline grasslands. But became an introduced species in parts of Canada, United States, Australia, and New Zealand, where it is now a common weed. In some habitats it is an invasive species forming dense colonies displacing native plants and modifying existing communities.
Beautiful high key. Love it

Love the comp, light and processing here, fav. I know these are sometimes considered invasive, but I love them. There's a small community garden near where I live which will be awash in them in June--I can't wait.

we have them in our yard (mowed around them because they are well loved); didn't know they were one of those dread alien invasives. Beautiful isolated like this.
