The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see.
Gilbert K. Chesterton
In the coming days and weeks, I will fill day by day the large gap in my 365 project with memories, experiences and moments of our recent Nova Scotia trip.
The way my husband M. and I travel is most probably a bit unusual for a lot of people, as we plan only the travel destination and have a reservation for a campervan (and unfortunately a return ticket to our “normal” life). But we plan no further than the pick-up of the vehicle. We have no tours, no attractions in mind and just start. We take our time, travel slowly, do a lot of walking and long hikes. We let ourselves be touched by the things, places, plants, animals, nature and of course the people and we are not easily impressed by super-secret insider tips written down in travel- or guidebooks. So the next 25 days or so you maybe not get to see photos of this wonderful Canadian Province, you would expect.
Still I’m pleased to share a personal daily moment from our slightly different journey with whomsoever is interested.
Love all those reflections! Sounds like a great way to travel to me! My husband, however, has to have everything planned out beforehand. Does take some of the adventure out. Looking forward to your pics.
