Parrsboro
The highest tides on planet Earth occur near Parrsboro, in Nova Scotia's Minas Basin. The water level at high tide can be as much as 16 meters!!! (45 feet) higher than at low tide.
I could wander miles and miles of this rugged coastline and beaches and meander the tide line searching for interesting flotsam for hours. Or I could just sit and watch the tide coming in, and bringing the boats to float. (What we did here). The tide and all that awe that comes with it, amazes me. It’s not that I have not seen the tide (even great tides in France) before, but here at the Minas Basin everything is just spectacular.
