2015-12-30 oranges

Blond oranges in a beautiful bowl, from a Nova Scotian Potter. It was given to me as a present, which I cherish, but it is rarely handled, since I am afraid to break it. So normally it holds my "treasures" from the Canadian Maritimes. Pebbles, sanddollars, small shark and ray egg cases and such things, and sits on a shelf.
Perhaps the bowl deserves more light - bit difficult to see but it does seem a very pretty design! The light is so good on these delicious slices of orange!

The lighting on this is glorious, and the colors so vibrant and lush!! Love it....FAV!!! I see that the outside of the blood oranges is indeed red, but the inside is yellower than what I am accustomed here. Then, again, it is such a short season for them, and they are so rare that I am not sure we are getting the best ones.

Such a beautifully composed and captured image Mona. Such impressive lighting on your oranges, which are held in a very special bowl. FAV for so many reasons.
