Interesting for me: Veins of leaves are complex structures. It is not so long that researchers solved some of the mystery of how different leaf vein patterns correlate with use of sunlight, carbon and other nutrients. This knowledge helps to better understand the complex carbon cycle that is at the heart of global climate warming.
