@granagringa Thanks Granagringa. This photo is composed of two separate images. Even with a lot of effort and many attempts, I have not been able to take a beautiful silhouette of smoke and an acceptable flame simultaneously. For not losing the focus on the flame and the chili pepper, I stuck two matches, directly in the backside of the chili pod and ignited it. Smoke is produced and visible only when the flames extinguish. So I helped myself with a hidden incent stick mounted behind the fork. Remote, wireless flash from the left, pointing on the smoke. And then I merged two images in Photoshop and tuned a bit on the contrast, saturation and sharpness, etc. Later I saw that Picmonkey has really great flames in the program, but mine are "real". The result was achieved rather with diligence, then photographic skills. Which I am very aware.
Thanks for the explanation and the details. It all comes through in the beautiful shot. Your creativity and how you've thought this all out is truly impressive. I have such a long to go and appreciate the inspiration and the information. Thanks again.
