2016-12-23 snowflakes

When I posted a single, tiny quilling shape from an ongoing project acouple of weeks ago, April @aecasey mentioned that she used to do quilling snowflake ornaments. And with this short comment, a creativity flash kicked in, and I had the idea to make a quilling snowflake as table place decoration for everyone attending at our Christmas dinner. Thank you April for the hint.
Every snowflake is different and I do not use patterns, the just grow in a meditative flow.
April @aecasey Thanks for your hint with the snowflakes a couple of weeks ago.

Someone gave me a snowflake such as these a very long time ago. I never knew what the technique was called before: quilling. It looks like a great deal of fun, and I'll have to look in to how to do this. Thanks!
