2017-07-15 number 7

Common green bottle fly on eastern daisy fleabane. --> On a extended hike I played a bit with the macro lense and wasn't in the groove yet, but... after seven shots the battery died. So this is number seven and all I have.

The daisy fleabane (Erigeron annuus) is a North American plant species from the daisy family. It was brought to Europe beginning of the 17th century as ornamental plant. In the 18th century it "escaped" and is now widespread.
7th time lucky! Great detail on the fly, and I love your composition

It looks great in b&w and brings out so many fine details in your fly friend. :)

Nice crisp shot pity your battery died. I've been playing with macro today as well forgot how much fun it is :)

Incredible detail in the fly. I especially like how the wing structure stands out in the B&W edit.

I like how the fly is so vivid yet the flower it's on is out of focus.
