A very cold and grey morning changed to a beautiful day, as I drove an hour or so, up to higher grounds for a mountain hike. I desperately needed some sun, to lift my "foggy" mood and to increase my vitamin D level.
This is just when I was about to surfaced the fog line, and the sun managed to send her rays through the mist. So I stopped as soon as possible and went exploring. I have never been here, but apparently I found a wonderful "playground" for me and my "kind" of photography.
@jakb Hi Janet, welcome to the 365 project and thanks for your comment and question. Actually here is no magic behind this picture. It is just being at the right time, at the right place. The rest is a weather phenomenon and physics. When the sun is still low, and sends her light through the thin layer of fog, the light gets distracted by the tiny dropplets and this is visible for our eyes (and cameras). I found this place by coincidence, took care of a "nice" composition, captured in manual mode and manual white balance. That's it. Couldn't be easier, when you are lucky enought to find the place. (Even my phone made some decent pictures.) Hope this helps. And please just drop your questions, if there is more you are interested in, and if you understand my explanations in low quality English. 😉
