M: I need to do some stuff,... (work from home, knitting, painting, cleaning, pushing a broom, etc.)
Kitty: Just give me a paper bag, and I will let you do, what ever you want. Having an ecstatic play with the bag and a bottle cap, and sleep for hours afterwards.
M: Must remember to put that bag away over night,... for not listening to ecstatic play at 03:00 am. 😉
Funny that. I have a friend who has to give her cat every paper bag that comes into the house for a similar reason. I love how you got the cat framed by the bag.
@gapandgain Hi Van, thank you for your comment. Yes you are right, this shot es extremely underexposed and still a bit blown out, on Xia's chest fur. I do shoot in manual mode, though, to do the trick.
@mona65 thank you so much Mona for your response. I love the single ray of golden light in your shot. I tried to do something similar for one of my shot that I took a couple of days ago, but it didn’t turn out right. Yours is so perfectly beautiful. 😍🥰
@gapandgain Thanks Van, I was not shure, if the 365 community will like it, hence the blown out part and other mistakes. But I loved it, because our cat is so adorable.
I really appreciate you asked. That is what we are here for, to learn, for inspiration, etc. So I gladly help if I can. I couldn't find the picture you mentioned, but maybe you did not post it. Just make sure, that if you shoot in manual mode, that you also fix your ISO. So ISO doesn't climb up and makes your picture lighter and noisy. Best thing to train this is early morning or late afternoon, when the sun stands low. And then you just have to find indoor or outdoor light pockets. And with a lil' luck, put a cat, child, flower or whatever in your frame. ;-) Have a great day/night.
Do you have to underexposed for this shot to prevent the area where there’s direct sunlight from being overexposed?
