2021-03-22 a bad one

Actually these bobbins (what a nice word I learned today) are from a series with a really bad quality. I do not remember the place they came from, because normally I just spin my own bobbins. This threads always bunches up under the fabric in the sewing machine. I did not realise for some time, that it is the quality of the thread and not a problem with the machine/fabric. Only my sister C. told me that bad quality thread could cause this mess. Ok now, they have done some good, to be on the focus for a minute and then they have to be gone... Lesson learned,...
stunning tones, fantastic DOF

Oh yes I got a few of those too. I think it is the quality of thread that they use. Better to buy the thread you want and fill the bobbin yourself.

I always fill my own bobbins too. I hope in the future you only have bobbins that are of the highest quality. :)

Lovely photo. And I had no idea it was the thread quality that caused the bunching up under the fabric - a problem I have encountered previously. Thank you for the lesson

Love this. I have to be very careful to use high quality thread in my Bernina or it ends up eating the thread and I have to take my machine to the quilt shop to get it removed.
