For well over a year my father has been planning an exhibition with his aquarelle paintings on the occasion of his 80th birthday. But as you can imagine, everything was on the brink for a long time because of Covid-19. But the federal counsils just relaxed restrictions now, as infection numbers fall. And so, as originally planned (but with a strict protection concept, restricted access and without a vernissage), we can open the exhibition next Saturday. Today we mounted already some of the 75+ pictures in this 4-story oldtown house from 1435! It is a beautiful location, but mounting pictures is a challenge: no wall, no floor, no bar, no column ist straight,... but it has a lot of charme. Tomorrow it goes on, up the stairs..., down the stairs ...
What is this 586 year old wooden column thinking? What has it already seen?
I love your dad's art work - wish I could visit the exhibition!!! And to be in such an amazing old building - it's going to be a stunning exhibition. I wish him well and please post many more photos for those of us on the other side of the world who won't be able to come and see it :) fav
Congratulations to your immensely talented dad and the whole family! Wish I could see this exhibition in person. Also, thanks for teaching me 2 new words - aquarelle and vernissage! ;)
