Yummy! They looked like 'French toast' to me and Google told me I was right. I sometimes (when I have old bread) make them for lunch.
I also learned about a new Spanish tradition.

@ingrid01 Thanks - yes, they are quite similar to French toast, but we use lemon peel instead of vanilla.
