Late to the party

I wanted to take this for the mundane challenge but I forgot. And now the challenge is closed. Oh well...
I know it's "technically" a mug and not a pen holder, but I've always used it as one. I have some relatives living in York and they brought it to me about 10 years ago. Since that moment, it's lived on my desk.
