I was shocked to see the scale of damage on the news. We have quite regular floods in York, but nothing on that scale. I'm glad that you are safe.

Thanks a lot - it's terribel indeed. I'm really lucky the city hasn't been affected, but the situation in some neighbouring towns is hellish.
