The book images are both taken in camera, meaning that the black and white was not post processed from this one.
The book is an old version of Rabelais' Gargantua. I was unable to read it through. But I keep it because of the texture of the paper and of the print.
Love the look and the texture in your picture. I remember as a kid that my grandfather had a big box of books. They had a special smell and I can almost smell it through your picture!
it's a gargantuan of a book! i'd be very afraid to even touch it, i'd have a special easel for it and wear special cotton gloves if i have to read it. i love the smell of old books (apart from the dusts though if they're not kept well), and enjoy figuring out the Olde English and the calligraphy of the prints. as a small child, in my grand-uncle's private library, i would even read the old celtic and french books, even though at the time i couldn't understand a word. aces on the shot, my friend. i like it, in both colours!
A book can be good in more ways: it can hold good ideas, it can hold good words, it can hold a door if the book is big enough, it can hold good details for photographs.
A book is always good.
