Shipwreck

This is one from the archives. I am in Vancouver and forgot my sd card reader for my IPad. I'll just be collecting some street photos and will post them later. This particular image was taken in Punta Arenas, Chile. It was processed in LR and then removed some distractions in Photoshop.
Great sky and marvelous ship

What a gorgeous shipwreck. The sea being so dark and mysterious adds to the atmosphere.

Looks pretty old and broken up. I wonder what sort of ship it was?

Maritime history is an interest of mine, so I had to find out about this. She is the Lord Lonsdale, built in Northern Ireland in 1899 and sunk after catching fire in 1909. Yours is a beautiful photo, better than others on the net - I particulalry like the smoothness of the water.

Powerful image Kahsia. I'm a bit of a decay/melancholia addict. Your image has both. We'll all fall to bits eventually. That thought gives me a perverse comfort. Big fav before my finger flakes away to dust.
