Celebration of light-English Bay, Vancouver

I went to Vancouver yesterday for my daughter's 29th birthday. We went to farmer's market, shopping, brunch and then the fireworks. The city was expecting 100,000 people to attend the first of 3 fireworks displays. The crowds stretched from English Bay Beach to Second Beach on one side all the way to Burrard St. bridge on the other side. I got there 5 hours early so I could get a good spot. In the lower part of the photo are silhouettes of people's heads. It was pretty awesome.
fabulous!

You had a great viewpoint. Five hours is a long wait - I hope the weather was kind. Great to see the scale - with the inclusion of all those heads - what a fantastic display.
