Do new cars really have instructions like that?
I think the appearing closeness is subjective, so what does this actually mean? :)

@octogenarian Have you never seen that warning on wing mirrors before? It's a standard safety warning here. Side mirrors are convex which makes objects in the reflection look smaller/further away and it's a reminder that what you're seeing is actually closer than it appears.
