A friend has let me borrow his 300mm. The sheer weight of it takes some getting used to ... this was taken resting on a gate.Looking forward to more play time with it. Three months until Christmas Day!
Oh, I would LOVE to play with a 300mm, especially for my kids' soccer games. I've been planning on renting one, but the weight of the lens definitely has me intimidated.
@newbank No I don't think I need a 300 mm but it is good to know someone if the urge arises. Considering an upgrade to 70D but also a decent monitor to edit. But I dont actually DO anything with my pictures. They just sit on the computer.
@motherjane make a book.... I'm doing one on photobox. Nice to see them off screen... print some and frame them and look at them and smile... (or are you like me, and just still see all the faults in them and not how far we have come since we both started?)
@newbank i still dont understand the basic 'triangle'. I know I could achieve more with Photoshop etc but I just use Windows Photo. Layering etc?! I have no idea
@motherjane I dont do layers.... Self teaching myself Lightroom.... (and getting in a mess!!) I might try some of projects from practical photography this year.
