wow!! love it! it looks like it is underwater with bubbles. I love your moss pictures. the colours on this are so soft and subtle. I want to run out now and look at my moss.
Jane, I have to ask you how you get the soft flower shots? Are you using lensbaby or photoshop or both? I have tried for a long time to figure out how to do this and maybe I am just not good enough yet or do not have the right program. Appreciate any help you can give me. I am using a canon t3i and pickmonkey. Do not have the money for photoshop but can try to learn gimp.
@miata2u Thank you Peggy. Nearly all of my flower shots are taken with my 100mm macro lens or more recently one of the Lensbabies. I have the Sweet 35, Sweet 50, Edge 80 and the macro converters. I pretty much always shoot in manual with an ISO of 100. I try to experiment sometimes but I just don't understand all the different machinations. As for editing I have only ever used Windows Photoshop Gallery which was on my old laptop. I upgraded my laptop at Christmas and an faced with Windows 10. Admittedly it has in built effects you can use and tweak with and I am currently playing around with these basics. I desperately want to learn Photoshop or Lightroom (probably Photoshop) but I have a feeling I wont understand it. I am a technophobe and often have to ask my teenage children to help me out!
@miata2u This particular shot was taken on a garden wall in heavy grey mizzle. I took a torch, propped it into position behind the moss and took a few photos. This was cropped and did have more colour but I liked the muted tones. They suited the mood and the weather.
