It's finished! by mozette

It's finished!

Yesterday, Mum and I finally applied the finishing touches to the Traffic Signaling Box down the road from me. It took between 11am and 5pm and most of it was just mainly outlining everything; fiddly stuff.

But first, we had to mix a darker green for the dark green leaves and stems... which we used on the light green stems and leaves. The top was painted by Mum and then she continued the rest of the flower tips onto it (as we found out that morning that we could paint the top of the box, but when I applied for it, the top part wasn't there, so my design didn't cover it). Anyway, it was a long day with lots of traffic and horns blowing too.
It was also a day of a cold wind blowing too. So, we rugged up and Dad brought out thermos mugs of tea for us both! Just when we really needed it too! The best thing I did yesterday was take long two cushions to sit on as we were going to be on the ground for a good part of the day.

I'd do this again - most definitely - and ask for a whole month instead of two weeks as it's a physically and mentally demanding thing to do. If you'd like to see the whole project from beginning to finish, check out my art blog:
