I bought the paper today and read about this major flood disaster that's unfolding - and continuing to do so - in my home city of Brisbane. This flood has destroyed homes and businesses of as many as 19,700 properties and 3,000 businesses; leaving up to 50,000 without electricity.
Last year, you may have seen a photo of an art piece 'Flood' at the New Farm Power House; it was big and red. It was a flood marker from the 1974 floods. Well, this year, the water will reach over that particular marker as of tomorrow because of the tides.
So, on Thursday, around 3pm, please keep the residents of Brisbane, Australia in your thoughts.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
