Birdy Love by mozette

Birdy Love

I was in Woolworths today doing my fruit'n'veggie shopping when I heard a bird whistle - and not just any bird, it was a parrot whistle. I looked around and found a lady with a baby Rainbow Lorikeet on her shoulder.
She told me she had only picked her up yesterday from a breeder and Bodgie was only 4 months old and had really taken a shine to her - sleeping her under bed last night and staying on her shoulder all day today; preening her hair, ears and teeth. Now, I call that Birdy Love.

However that mark below her left eye was made by Bodgie last night when she picked up the bird. She said that since then, it's been nothing but birdy affection all the time. The lady was picking out fruit to feed her new pet and didn't really know what to not feed her; I suggested she looked up the lorikeet sites on the net and find out how to care for her and said that Bodgie would love some bottle brush flowers to drink from too. She was very grateful about the info on how to feed her but I did forget to let her know about Green Cross Vets; the best vets around Brisbane for birds of all kinds. :D
The bird is full of beautiful color.

Nice shot. I am interested in the Woolworths store due to the fact that we used to have Woolworths here in Edmonton. Now I am wondering if it is the same company

@bkbinthecity Yes. It's the same company; and it's taken over the whole of Australia because there's little to no competition to put Woolworths out of business or to slow it down. They call themselves 'The Fresh Food People'... but they're not always.
