Today was not only St Paddy's Day, but also The World's Greatest Shave. This is where perfectly healthy people - like you and me - go and raise money for the Lukeamia Foundation by getting people to sponsor them to get their hair coloured or shaved... I did this last year and raised over $500!
This year, I sent out e-mails to my friends, but hotmail screwed up and none of them arrived. Bummer! However, I still raised over $100. Not my finest moment in fund-raising, but it's something to work with! :D
I coloured and shaved this time - much to Mum's shock - and loved doing it (colouring and shaving; not shocking Mum).
Before we were there, Mum, Dad and I were at a Community Centre up the road to have a look at their Thrift Shop and I scored a few books, clothes and four lovely plants for my yard. It was a great day out!
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
I have a friend who also shaved her head today, she lost her husband to lukeamia about a year and a half ago. At once stage today she was sporting a pink mohawk, but now it is all gone.
Great collage
@bazza@lynne3804@digitalrn@annelis@loey5150 Thank you all for your lovely comments. I've been so busy lately with all kinds of things - and getting better with my foot - that I have been lax in thanking you all. It was a great day out. Busy, enjoyable and exhausting... I was grateful to get my foot up and rested for the afternoon once home and gotten the colour out of my hair.
