This was me at around 2pm yesterday afternoon. Aaah, yes the height of fashion in all hospitals, those gowns are, don't you think?
The procedure took around 45 minutes and was a success. Dr Stephen Cook said it went very well and the nurses at Greenslopes Hospital were wonderful!
Mum and Dad are looking after me now; and I'm back home. I returned home last night, but didn't want anything to eat, so I downed a couple of cups of green tea (as the hospital gave me some food to eat to get my blood pressure to come up), scoffed down some chocolate, talked to my brother on the phone and headed off to bed where I crashed after trying to read a bit... rather unsuccessfully... but had a rough night's sleep as the painkillers I took at around 11pm wore off at 4am.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@digitalrn yeah it is... I still have a bit of pain, but that's just bruising... otherwise, I'm going well. I'm tired and a little dopey and that's expected. I think I'll sleep better tonight than I did last night. :)
@ellen@digitalrn@bkbinthecity@tesssa Thank you all for your lovely comments... I've had a good recovery. The pain from the surgery has been lessening; but my lower back has been giving me a bit of problems. I'm back into cooking and reading again. And sleeping isn't a problem either. I still need time to fully recover though.
@ellen@digitalrn@bkbinthecity@tesssa@annie97@annelis Thank you all for your wonderful comments and wishes of late. I'm recovering well. There is still a little bit of pain and discomfort, but it's becoming less and less as the days pass. I'm eating and sleeping really well and I'm getting back into my daily routine again too.
I'm glad my family are here to help me out when I need them. I'll be okay in about a week or so.
