Gemstones

Gabe, Kat and Riley went hunting for gems at Emerald for a week - and this is why I was at their place house-sitting and caring for the funny little, cheeky chooks.
Today, they returned. Today, it was cold, wet and yet, the house was nice, clean, tidy and I was ready to go home. The chickens were happily putting out more eggs than I could possibly eat, and I had made Gabe and Kat a veggie cannelloni and Mum brought around a delish veggie soup and yummo bread for us to munch into.... great stuff for a cold day in Brisbane.

And then, it was time for the showing of the gems. And these were the best ones I photographed!
