I've got new neighbours over the back fence; and they've got a young family. So, today, I went out and bought a strip of fabric to put up at night so when I'm up late writing or surfing the net, I don't bother them with my office light.

@bkbinthecity Thanks... I've found that in unit complexes, give and take is a big thing. And being a long-time resident, it's a matter of thinking ahead and figuring out where your lights shine the most and knowing what you can do about it to make other people's lives better that makes you a good neighbour. :)
@digitalrn It kind of goes both ways too... they don't have a shade on their bathroom... so I've put it up so the light from their bathroom doesn't shine into my house and keeps me awake at night - and it's really bright. So, instead of bugging them, I've thought to put the shade up myself. :D
