This is my little Dutch Oven. I bought it in Epsom, just outside Bendigo years ago when I was visiting Victoria a lifetime ago and brought it home in my hand luggage! So cool! I never got to use it at Mum and Dad's place because they said it got in the way, so it stayed at the top of my wardrobe until I moved into my own place.
Now, I rarely use it because I'm terrified of dropping it. But last night, it was a chilly night and I hadn't planned anything for dinner - so out it came! I chopped up pumpkin, sweet potato, threw in small tomatoes, mushrooms, 3 cloves of garlic, capsicum, salt & pepper and herbs and mixed it all up with some unpeeled chopped up carrots and 2 1/2 cups of water and a sprinkling of rice flour and spiral pasta, and there was my dinner 1 1/2 hours later!
I also wrapped up a dinner roll or two and put that in frozen 35 minutes before it was finished... yummo! :D
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
I have never seen one of these before but if it like a slow cooker everything is very tasty and tender at the end of cooking time it does sound like a tasty dish with very little bother
