Ban the Bag by mozette

Ban the Bag

Here in Australia, we are battling with the oil-based, light-weight grey bags. There's a bag ban in Tasmania, but it's got loopholes... here in Queensland, there's hopefully going to be a complete ban on them next year.

But I've been using these synthetic ones for over 5 years and have gotten into the habit of also using fabric ones as well. The synthetic ones are washable and take a few years to wear out. I'm going to see what I can do with them after they've worn out; to upcycle them more so they don't end up in landfill.
We have a set of reusable bags too. I love the fold-up Woolies ones - so convenient for carrying around.

There is a big push here to get people to use reusable bags here too

@alia_801 @bkbinthecity thank you both for your lovely comments. I've been watching a show on the ABC called 'The War On Waste' and it's been very informative. Not only are we one of the biggest wasters of plastic bags, but we also throw away more food than we produce!
