Because the island I live on is just one degree north of the Equator, it never snows. I've only seen snow when I travelled: Canada in 1986, New Zealand in 1992, Andorra in 1993, Japan in 2008 (Hokkaido) and 2009 (Tohoku) . I like how pretty snow looks! (But I'm miserable when I'm cold!) On 365 Project, I am so glad I am able to enjoy everyone's beautiful snowscape shots.
I bought the little silver snowflake charm in this photo after spotting it in a craft store because it was, quite simply, love at first sight.
Gorgeous shot of such a simple beauty! Love your snowflake. I enjoy the real stuff but not the cold that comes with it. You have had some interesting travels, Livia. I've lived in England and have been to Belgium, France, Italy . . but never to those parts of the world. Such diversity on this site. Love it. :)
Thank you so much, everyone, for your comments! I do appreciate your taking the time out of your busy schedules to stop by. Thank you!
@karenann: Thank you! I read this article ( http://macro-photography-blog.com/2009/07/19/19-reasons-why-point-and-shoot-camera-owners-should-shoot-macro-photographs/ ) about why point-and-shoot photographers should take macro shots, so I think I will do that more often. Heh. You've been to some great places! I've lived in England (Manchester) for a year. During that time, in the summer (1993) we took a self-drive holiday in southern France. That is one of my fondest memories. I saw fields of sunflowers! (I'm crazy for sunflowers.) This site is an amazing place. So many wonderful photos, and so many intriguing photographers! It always amazes me, the connections I can make with someone on the other side of the planet, through a site like this. I'm learning something new every day and I love it.
Again, I would like to thank everyone, for your kind and supportive words. Without your encouragement, this project would be too daunting to attempt! Thank you so much.
Your snowflake is possibly the best kind of snow to have; it is so pretty and yet warm. Renee has summed it up, driving in it (if you are not snowed in) is awful:0)
Love the way how you pic this beautiful pedant. ( you did travel a lot , hope you `ve enjoy it all )
Thank you very much for you so kind comment on my Acer leafs pic. I do realy appreciate it ( no, I love it )
Such a nice shot- love the necklace and the background tones- I love to be warm as well- however I was born in a state very close to Canada :) Made for "wonderful" amounts of snow in winter.....yuck!

This is beautiful :) I love the colours and the composition.
The backdrop in this shot is fantastic, and of course you've composed this brilliantly. Fav :)
