Even in the world of manga, green-haired characters are not common. Zoro from One Piece is one. Does he look familiar? I posted a photo of Zoro last month: http://365project.org/myautofocuslife/365/2012-02-02 but this is a different figure. Here, he's in what we call "chibi" or "super-deformed" style. Characters in this artistic mode are expressed in an exaggerated, cutesy way, most notably with oversized heads.
One of the things I love about Zoro is the expression on his face. He is a no-nonsense pirate who uses 3 katana at once, a man of few words and little patience. This expression on his face is not unlike my own.
No, seriously. I look unhappy all the time. Even when I'm not, I look like I am. People have described me as looking "aloof", "distant" or "upset", and they were being cautious with their adjectives. The Kid says I look "irritable". Sometimes The Husband will catch me looking extra murderous and become concerned.
The Husband: Oy, why do you look like that?
Me: Like what.
The Husband: Are you angry about something?
Me: Huh? I'm not angry.
The Husband: You look like you want to kill someone.
Me: It's called my Default Face. Deal with it.
Give me a selfie and I will judge and I can tell you in advance you`ll look good . Everyone is a beauty by her/his self. Don`t be prejudiced.

After all those comments, I can't add anything! It caught my attention. I think you will go far on the green theme! Best yet! What is this "8D" that you put in?
@maggiemae 8D would be a big bright grin with the teeth showing. 8) would be a smile without the teeth showing. 8P is my tongue sticking out. Could indicate self-disappointment or cheekiness. The eyes are 8 for when I'm wearing glasses but I might use =D to show excitement and happiness! If I want to express dismay or shock it'll be a 8O or 8( although 8( can also be used for sadness. I like 8| for a non-commital response. ;D is a wink with a bright, knowing grin. 8B is for extra nerdy moments and 8D~ for "My mind is taking a happy swim in The Gutter." All these smileys are to be viewed sideways but on other sites I might use Japanese type smileys that don't require you to turn your head. For instance, O.o is for skepticism or disbelief because it has one eye larger than the other. Or X_x for "That is horrible!" I like ^_^ for a smiling face and ^U^ for an extra wide smiling face. Also *_* for an admiring or impressed look. Sometimes I put up two fingers for the V sign like this ^_^ v or I use a semi-colon like this ^_^; to indicate a sweatdrop to show my nervousness.
Those are just a few of my favorite ones. I've been abusing smileys for many years. 8D

This was fun to read. I have the opposite usually, people think I'm sweet and happy when I'm angry or depressed, but when my allergies kick in, them my eyes swell and look like I have them slitted in a glare and everyone tiptoes around me like I'm ready to explode.
His expression is great, different to before. Like the composition ad the story. Was always told to smile etc, when younger, such a pain. Think I have cracked it now. So funny and pleased to know I wasn't alone.

hahaha I must have Bitchface, too. The other day after his ball hockey game, my love goes, "you looked so pissed off everytime I looked over at you." I wasn't at all, must be my face! lol.
