Morning glory grows wild on the ground in the Tampines Eco Park, where I sometimes go to look for macro subjects. They are a pale and dusty pink-purple color. I thought I'd try and see how close I can get to the flower by taking a macro shot. The edge of my lens was resting on the petal for this shot.
Did you know that the seeds of many species of morning glory, when taken in great amounts, can cause hallucinogenic effects similar to LSD? Well, I didn't take any, but I thought the stigma (or seed?) of this morning glory looked like it was trying to take a peek at me to see which idiot was standing outside and calling loudly, "Hello! Is anybody home?"

I`ve Wkepedia this flower and the outcome is that it`s also a commen weed in our country. We call them Haag of Akker Winde . The collors are mainly : white or pink. There is also a medical use from/of it. I`ve never seen it so close, you `ve made a stunting micro
Nice micro! Beautiful purple color and excellent focus on the center and the seed. I just planted some Morning Glories although they did grow wild where I grew up. Especially blue ones. I didn't lknow that about the seed. Hmmm?

A great, big, pink-purple, really close, loud and focused "THANK YOU!" to all for taking the time and trouble to stop by! This shot was kind of experimental.
