Dale Dauten: "It's called a pen. It's like a printer. Hooked straight to my brain."
More so than the camera, I have a great affinity for the pen. Whether to write or to doodle, I get the urge to pick up pen and paper and simply do something with them. It's my preferred mode of expression. I love finding the words to say how I feel and why I feel what I feel. I love making up stories. Other times, I doodle. Making shapes, drawing lines, creating patterns. It's relaxing.
My shot shows a doodle I've made and the pen I use for doodling. It's a pigma micron pen, using acid-free, archival ink, and comes with different sized nibs.
I have too many hobbies. And I can't wait to get back to some of them when I finish my project. 8D
So creative, A girl of many talents! Now I understand why your descriptions are always so interesting to read! I really battle sometimes to get across what I want to say!
`` And I can't wait to get back to some of them when I finish my project.``
I hope you don`t mean 365 by this. Love you pic.`s , you line`s and creativity and I `ll be sorry if you are not there
You are very talented in so many area Livia - when you say "finish your project" you arent going to stop taking photos and posting them here I hope!!!!!!!
Love your doodle! And great photo of it! I should also dig out my art supplies ... perhaps it will be my next project for 365 days. First I try to finish this here :)
So neat! You are talented in so many ways. I love the Pigmas for line drawing too -- you may just be inspiring me to dig them out and draw with them again! :)
@kittikat@pyrrhula@kellc@girlie When my project finishes, I intend to get back to some hobbies I've been neglecting. Novels to read, comics to read, felt to sew, jewelry to make, and at least 3 videogames (shrink-wrapped and unopened for the past 6-10 months) to play! A break is definitely in order. I can't say for certain I will continue but I can say for sure that I do hope to return. Just need to find the time!
@mstipe I have a long list! Just to name a few: I can't bake, I can't cycle, I can't whistle, I can't grow my hair long, I can't use a cellphone properly, I can't roll my R's, I can't play a musical instrument, I can't sing, I can't skate, I can't drive and I can't photograph birds. I get Blurry Blobs. 8D
Your doodle is beautiful! I get frustrated when I try to draw because what is in my brain somehow ends up getting very distorted by the time the messages have made it through my nerves to my fingers! I'm better at writing and typing :) I do have the urge to colour in your doodle though :)
That looks like a really nice pen! and doodle. very nice shot. and i lol'd at your list of things you cant do, I really enjoy reading your photo stories and comments :)
You're an excellent artist and you share the some of the same creative hobbies I have. I love drawing, painting, writing and photography among other things.
This is so beautiful, it starting to make sense of how you can see the tiny spiders, you have an amazing eye Livia and no more talk of when you finish, I know you are not staying but I shall miss you when you leave; your shots are awesome they really are
I love to doodle too. I took half of my notes in the History of Opera class I was required to take in my undergrad days in doodle. I'd draw pictures of the plots to help me remember them! I also like to write as well, and so far I've been able to balance those things with the project. Your doodles look awesome- you are very creative and multi-talented!
Your doodle is beautiful and very intricate, repetitive and precise in design. It is more a work of art than a doodle. You are indeed a very talented person.
A great, big, repetitive, doodle-like, carefully drawn, gratefully penned "THANK YOU!" to everyone for stopping by! *LOL* I am not talented. I just like making patterns with a pen and paper. Thank you so much for your encouragement. 8)
Wonderful! I love the design. You are a very talented lady. I find it hard to get to any of my hobbies lately. My guitar sits in the corner and cries. Patiently waiting for me to put down the camera and pick her up.
This is a lovely doodle and I know exactly what you mean about getting back to things at the end of the project - since I started this I have completely given up playing the piano - looking forward to taking a more relaxed approach to 365 next year
Really cool!
I hope you don`t mean 365 by this. Love you pic.`s , you line`s and creativity and I `ll be sorry if you are not there
I like your doodle.
although my doodles lack the precision and order of your example here! Absolutely gorgeous lines.
