That's an amazing shot, but what really confuses me is seeing that it's 3rd November with you, when it's still only afternoon of 2nd November with me!???
I love this Livia. It is one thing to capture a shot of something very small and have technically good macro shot, but you have such a talent for giving us theatre too. I just adore this, it is possibly my favourite shot from your project and one of my fave faves ever. So, +F!
Okay, I officially GIVE UP taking bug macros. I can never get anything this good! Wow. And you are not even doing it with a DSLR or dedicated macro lens, right? Wow. Fav!
@espyetta I use a Sony 30mm macro lens with my mirrorless camera. The lens is more suited to macro shots of inanimate subjects due to its ridiculously short working distance. I'm not letting that stop me though. Don't give up macro! It's hard, but so much fun!
@stefun I was too close to the ant! Haha. My macro lens isn't really suited for shooting live subjects like spiders and ants. If you're getting a macro lens, get one that's at least 100mm so that you have a greater working distance (than what I have). That way, you don't have to get so close to a bug to get a good picture. 8)
A great, big, up-close-and-personal "THANK YOU!" to everyone! I love shooting red weaver ants because I find them very photogenic. They do bite something fierce, so I only look for those that are alone; I avoid them when I see lots of them together on the same plant. Thank you so much for your supportive comments. I am grateful!
@myautofocuslife Thanks Livia, Actually I planned to get the Tamrom 90mm. And as I wante to shoot living subjetcs, I want a medium range macro lense.... You deserve a FAV because you have succeeded this photo with a short focal length lens ;)
LOL. If your bad at tying knots, make sure you have a parachute. Incredible capture. Amazing dof, color, lighting, detail, and most of all, composition. Fav
I'm awful with knots...
A wonderful find , composition and capture
A jumping spider shot is doing the rounds on facebook.... yours are way better :)
