Transparent Monitor - For a Transparent "Me" shot - GET PUSHED CHALLENGE
This is for my Get-Pushed Challenge.
Melissa's challenge was to take a self portrait - without photographing yourself. . Who are you? What makes you you?
So I decided I would try to be a bit transparent for this shot. You see a Bible, there are children's ministry curriculum and on top of that is a photo of my husband & myself. I have a recruiting training DVD since I am a business owner of a professional search firm. My Nikon camera case is hanging on the door, coffee mug filled with coffee and hanging on the wall are some pictures my grandchildren made for me.
Oh that is so clever Kathy. Well done you!! Someone on here wrote the steps for creating a shot like this, I thought it all looked too hard. This is great.
@mej2011 Thank you it was a fun challenge. In order to make this work I had to take multiple photos. The colors didn't match which surpised me since it was at the same time in the same lighting but it would have taken so much extra processing that the color error was corrected when i put it in black & white. I really wanted to re-do the whole thing I just didn't have the time since these are a bit time consuming.
At first when I read the challenge I thought - OH NO a self portrait - I was so glad to see the words "without taking a picture of yourself"!
Fun Challenge thank you so much. I really learned something new from it and hope to try this again in the future. @myhrhelper

I knew you had to do multiple shots and seem them together, I just didn't think the colors would have posed a problem. Either way, it looks great!
Self portraits are not my cup of tea, so I figured a unique spin might make it a little more tolerable.
