Thankful Thanksgiving by myhrhelper

Thankful Thanksgiving

What are you thankful for? I asked 53 people and video taped their answer. Here is that video. What are you thankful for? https://youtu.be/Oqvd0kV7dPo
Beautiful aerial view! Thankful for the assurance of Heaven because of Jesus Christ!

@bjywamer Barb that is the BEST response ever! I am thankful for the same thing. If you watch the video there are several people who express the same thing :)

Love the perspective for your photo! I will come back and edit my response after I listen to your video

Interesting responses in your video. many of them are the same as I am thankful for. I’m thankful for the miracles in God‘s world and the blessing of sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell so that I can appreciate them all.

@grammyn thank you Katy, I totally agree with your response. Those are things we take for granted but many people don't have them. In January 2020 I got nells palsy. My nerves on the right side of my face didn't work. Couldn't shut my eye to blink or sleep, trouble eating without that side. I couldn't smile and looked like monster when I did. The biggest thing I missed was being able to smile. I no longer take that forgranted.

@myhrhelper it’s kind of like that Joni Mitchell song, we don’t know what we’ve got till it’s gone? I’m assuming by the way you wrote this that this was a temporary situation for you, Kathy. I certainly hope it was.

@grammyn yes but at the time you don't know if or how much you will recover. Also many people including myself get a permanent condition where during the healing process regrown nerve cross over another causing an involuntary reaction. For me when I smile my eye squints a little. It took me a few months to recover but some people can take 6 months or a year to recover. Some never do. I got bells palsy 2 weeks before I was going on a cruise. I thought I was having a stroke and tried to hide it since I thought that a stroke would prevent me from going on a cruise. I couldn't hide it from my husband of course and he remembered his sister got bells and had it for 8 months. I went on the cruise, did see a medical professional before hand and got medication to help the healing process
