One of the hundreds of male sealions that haul out on Pier 39 in San Francisco,California every winter. If you use the magnifier you can see the curving dock in his eye and sunbursts on his wet fur. My zoom lens weighs a ton..but I am so glad I brought it. Here is their amazing story for anyone interested. http://www.pier39.com/home/the-sea-lion-story/
Fabulous capture. Pier 39 is a great place to visit. I went there for the first time when it was recently opened, and enjoy it every time. I can see all those seals on the floating woods. FAV.
Hi Hope
You are a very talented photographer and I have really enjoyed looking through your album. Thank you for my challenge. And now for yours: This week I would like you to explore shadows. It can be of something specific or more abstract. Enjoy and I look forward to seeing your results!
Wonderful photo! We saw them when we were out in San Francisco in September, but didn't have time to get this close as it was toward the end of the day and we were not staying in the city.
