lovely. I heard the other day (when someone gave me a very cool type of milkweed plant) that monarchs actually like other milkweeds as well for their eggs. Is that true?

yes.any plant in the Milkweed family.their favorite to lay eggs on is common in my experience.But I have found eggs on swamp milkweed too.
