For the second week of our book club we are focusing on expressing and evoking feelings in our images. We choose a word and plan a photograph based on that concept. I viewed someone's photo on 365 that was also titled Anticipation... and loved that word. His photo showed people waiting for a meteor shower. I wanted to try to find something in nature that would evoke that feeling. This almost- opened sunflower at dusk ..with it's outstretched petals like arms, seemed to say "anticipation" and yearning to me.View large ( by clicking that magnifier up there^.Took me weeks figure out how that worked.:))
@archaeofrog oh,thank you so much,Katie.I know I sound like a broken record but thank you for putting this together.I am learning so much.I wish we could really meet as a group to talk about our experiences!
Well done with this exercise. This is quite beautiful. I love that you have not taken this shot full on as a lot of sunflower shots are. There is a sense of mystery to this shot for me - the flower appears quite different to what one expects of a sunflower. The background bokeh is lovely.
