Well, today has been busy! Woke up this morning, made drop scones for breakfast for me and my brother :) Then I finished my art homework, then I went to get my hair cut. Then I played tennis, then came home and had lunch. Then I got out the christmas cake I made a few days ago and cut it into smaller pieces. Then I marzipanned them all. Then I made the pieces for the mini gingerbread houses I'm making tomorrow. Then I rowed. Then had my dinner. Then iced all of these cakes (there are 8 of them so it took a while!!!)...and now I need to tidy my room, look at some UCAS stuff, maybe do some art, and possibly even sleep at some point! :')
The cakes and mini gingerbread houses are going to be christmas presents for some people :) I bet you're wishing you lived near me now :p
I have decided that I'm probably going to drop Physics before January exams. I'm currently doing an extra A-level, so it should be possible for me to drop one, hopefully, I haven't left it too late! It doesn't look like I need it for any course that I might be interested in doing at uni, it's causing me a lot of stress and I don't want it to affect my other subjects. I've talked it out with Mum and explained why i think I should drop it and she now agrees with me but wants to check UCAS. Dad wishes I would keep it on as having 3 sciences puts you in a strong position, but at the end of the day it's my choice and as I said to Mum, two A's in Chem and Bio would look better then 2 B's in Chem and Bio and a C in Phsyics! Right now, I just feel that the benefits of having a Physics A-Level do not outweigh the stress and other issues it's causing. So I'm going to speak to my senior tutor and hopefully (fingers crossed please!) he will help me drop it before January!
You should be able to drop a subject at this point. I very nearly did with my 4th subject (Spanish), but eventually reached a compromise where I didn't have to go to all the lessons as I really just wanted to learn the language.
That looks like a wonderful christmas present to give someone ... and homemade is always the best! Good luck in making the choices about what subjects to drop etc ... it's always a tricky time when those decisions need to be made.
