Well I got well and truely pwned by the weather today! The forecast was for it not to rain until tomorrow. So after walking my brother to school, I set off to cycle into the next town. It drizzled a bit after I arrived but soon cleared up. Then, 5 minutes before arriving home, the heavens well and truely opened and I got absolutely soaked!!!!! So I came home and read a book :p
If you've not read Gervase Phinn's Dales books, I highly reccommend them. They are incredibly funny. I don't know if you will read them a different way to me because I'm actually from Yorkshire. But basically, he was a school inspector and his books just recount some of his experiences with children. They're lovely books to read :] (He's a nice guy too, he came to my school one evening and I met him :])
I LOVE when it rains--please send some here (: Excellent crop and focus in this shot, Naomi. I'll have to check out those books now, I haven't heard of them.
I love Gervais Phinn! Missed him when he was at Aidan's, but bought one of his books from a book stall at uni once, one he wrote for kids. Was OK, but think the dales books are better. :-)
This one's a fav for me, sweetie. It is so well composed and the focus is perfect on one of my favorite things...books. Curling up on a rainy day with a book - you just had my perfect day.
